Born in Nebraska in 1957, grew up in New York city, re-emigration of the family to Norway 1970,
studies at the University of Vienna from 1981 – 1986, majoring in ethnology and social anthropology, minors: African and third world studies. Field studies in Zaire (Bondo) 1986.
Has been professionally active in the field of job-related training schemes in Vienna since 1988. The activities have covered curriculum development, organisation, train-the-trainer measures as well as teaching, training and individual coaching. Specialisation: Integrative work with focus on gender, culture and socially disadvantaged groups.
Has for the last 25 years also served as interpreter on call for the Norwegian Embassy and for Austrian political institutions in Vienna.
Has further specialized in translation of judicial and sociological texts.
Is at present doing her master studies in mediation.
Is currently also engaged in a study group around Franz Nahrada to test the potential of a local new work project in a neighbourhood in Vienna
Is married, has a 9 week old dog and enjoys reading, and music.
