Theme of ENABLE conference: which strategies and actions do we have to employ or still to develop in order to enable the creation of profoundly new knowledge and game-changing innovations? Enabling is the art of carefully configuring adequate levers (physical space, networks, resources, etc.) that best support specific innovation processes, such as idea generation, prototyping, market entry, etc.. The main assumption of this conference is that, in order to arrive at sustainable and game-changing solutions, the concept of enabling of knowledge creation, i.e. enabling processes, structures, systems, etc., is going be essential. /MarkusPeschl These kinds of knowledge creation and innovation processes do not take place in a theoretical and empty space. Rather, it is necessary to take into consideration the actual physical, architectural, social, cognitive, emotional, cultural, technological, epistemological, etc. dimensions and integrate them into a comprehensive and consistent concept of space. The conference refers to these spaces as Enabling Spaces.

S_H_A_R_E 1.
Throughout history we see the pattern of retreat from crowded and information-polluted centers as a major narrative of deep innovation. Closeness to nature, silence and a shift in time (slowing down) 2.

Global Village is the combination of these traditional features of rural areas or refuges with the ability to access global information sources of any kind. 4. The village offers easier access to deep communication. The counterpart of the theoretician is the implementer, the practicioner. The village is a micromodel of a complete innovation cycle. The knowledge is more wholistic and coherent. The process from generation to completion is much more present than in urban environments. The emptyness of the landscape and the availability of resources trigger creative fantasy.
